Do not spend money on these boots. I have a lot of experience with walking boots. I walk hike 60 km per week, I go through boots every 6 months. My usual brand is La Sportiva. I said I would give these a go because there was nothing in my size in my usual brand. It was a big mistake. From the very first walk both boots made a squeaking squelching noise on every step and I noticed immediately that the grip was terrible. I thought OK they just need to be worked in? Well it has now been two weeks and 120 km later the boots are worse making really loud squeaking noises on every step. Cannot believe I am stuck with them for 6 months. It says on the bottom of the sole 'Swiss Engineering' it should be changed to 'Swiss Overpriced'.

It wasn't very comfortable when I first tried it on. I felt it was a bit narrow and I could feel the two layers on the insole. However, after a few short hikes, it adjusted perfectly. It holds the ankle like no other boot I've ever had. The laces hold it perfectly too.
