I've only recently bought this jacket so I haven't tried it in the elements apart from some fairly heavy wind and a few showers. I bought it as a lightweight daily jacket and so far it feels like an easy one to live with. I love how light it makes me feel, easy with a thin layer underneath or a couple for the extra warmth. I have a few Montane bits including the fireball lite jacket which I love wearing, the reason I bought this is to have something similar that offers that bit more protection without the bulk. I have a Montane extreme jacket too so something in the middle and this is a great option for what I need. I am a big fan of the feel of pertex jackets and Instead of goretex.
