Product description
The Bergfreunde Magnum from Metolius is a must for bouldering! The crash pad with its triple-layer foam has a large folded-out surface, offering enough space during falls. It also reduces the impact in case of a fall. They come with padded shoulder straps, so you can easily carry the folded crash pad to the next boulder.
Now, let’s take a look at its construction. It consists of different types of foam: the top layer is a closed-cell foam that cushions small falls. The middle layer is an open-cell foam that absorbs, distributes and cushions the energy of falls from greater heights. The bottom layer is once again a closed cell foam for enhanced stability. The fold, which is bevelled at 45 °, prevents it from getting punctured when landing on the folds.
In addition, it features two pockets, in which you can place your climbing shoes and chalk. The crash pad with the large Bergfreunde letting can also be used as a comfortable mattress in your camper van.
