For day trips or an overnight stay in a hut, the Ducan Spine 28-35 walking backpack by Mammut is an all-rounder with extra comfort! The backpack is equipped with Mammut Active Spine Technology, which supports a natural gait. The padded shoulder straps and the anatomically preformed waist belt ensure optimal mobility. The integrated metal frame provides the necessary stability. With the practical pockets you can store your equipment in a well thought-out way and have quick access to all you need. Valuables can be stored in their own separate pocket, whilst the large front opening provides access to the main compartment. Side mesh pockets and pockets on the waist and shoulder straps are practical for small items. Hiking poles can be attached to the waist belt and the back of the bag. The backpack comes with a removable, water resistant bag, which can be attached to the backpack in a variety of ways. This allows additional items to be attached to the bottom of the backpack. The variable volume of the backpack offers further practicality. An intelligent all rounder with comfortable carry system - that’s the Ducan Spine 28-35 by Mammut!

Been hiking with the Ducan Spine on the Scottish Munro's for the past year, it is an excellent backpack and has many features which I don't think I could live without now! It is very versatile and you can adjust the storage capacity as needed. Regularly using to carry lunch, insulating jacket, mid layer, snacks, waterproof trousers, coffee flask, shades, socks, seat pad, towel, gloves, hat, gaiters(neck and leg), first aid kit along with walking poles attached outside. We also purchased the compatible Mammut Bladders and these fit brilliantly with dedicated tube holes and restraints in the straps to make it super convenient to hike and drink. Have always felt the backpack was totally secure, never had any back pain whilst using it (and I have a bulging disk between S1 and S2) which I put down to the Spine system. Sits perfectly on my hips, the hip pockets are handy but the strap pockets (on Male version only) are really great for stowing hat/neck gaiter/gloves without having to stop. My wife has the shorter length female version too and has been really happy with that too.
