Product description
Sturdy, light and compact on the move
The Makalu FX TA trekking poles from Leki are ideal for mountain hikes and demanding tours where low weight and a small pack size are essential. Their segments are made entirely from Aluminium (HTS 6.5) and combine high stability with a lightweight construction. Plus, the Speed Lock plus adjustment system allows the length to be continuously adjusted to the terrain and/or user. Thanks to their foldable construction with five segments, the poles can be reduced to a pack size of 41 cm and stowed away in the supplied bag to save space.
Functional details for use on various terrain
In addition, the Aergon Air handle combines a lightweight design with a large surface area. The cavity technology supports an ergonomic hand position, while the fully rubberised grip head offers extra control when going downhill. A grip extension made from 1K Foam enables flexible hand positions when climbing uphill. With the Skin Strap 5.0, the strap can be infinitely adjusted to ensure a secure hold. Last but not least, the Flex tips and Trekking 2.0 baskets provide reliable ground contact on gravel, forest paths or alpine trails.
So pack these poles and set off on your next trekking adventure.

This is what other customers say:
Bought these for my elderly mother, following recommendations. They are good and definitely made of good materials.
The initial setup and sizing wasn't easy though - the instructions were graphical but didn't make it as clear as they could be. However, after a bit of test and adjust, all was good.

Excellent pair of poles. Light enough to be carried unnoticed in your backpack. The handles are very comfortable both uphill and downhill.
