Compact and reliable walking poles
The Makalu FX TA walking poles from Leki are easy to transport off the trails. They can be folded to a minimum of their size in a few simple steps. In the middle, the poles are equipped with a durable cable that holds the poles together similar to a tent pole. To use the poles, simply connect the segments together - it’s quick and easy! It is also possible to adjust the length of the poles while walking to adapt to different terrain.
Comfortable, long grips
Additional comfort is provided by the ergonomic, long grips. You can easily change your hand position to ensure you’re stable even on steep slopes. Another great feature includes the durable tips that offer a good grip on a wide variety of surfaces. In addition to the many technical features of the poles, they also have a casual, cool look.

Bought these for my elderly mother, following recommendations. They are good and definitely made of good materials.
The initial setup and sizing wasn't easy though - the instructions were graphical but didn't make it as clear as they could be. However, after a bit of test and adjust, all was good.

Excellent pair of poles. Light enough to be carried unnoticed in your backpack. The handles are very comfortable both uphill and downhill.
