Great boot
Using the boot mostly for hiking and scrambling in wet conditions I've yet to have a problem with them causing hot spots or blisters.
The only thing that I don't like about these boots is how thin the laces are. They don't feel very strong, but the do secure the boot around the foot when fastened properly

The TX5 boots are a hardwearing boots and can stand all the punishment of heavier leather boots. The boots in the photo are 5 year old and used nearly daily and are still going strong . The boots don't need breaking in I used them straight out of the box straight on to the mountains just like a good pair of slippers. I use my boots for all my mountain activities scrambling and climbing The are a pleasure to used on long hikes due to the lightweight of the boots unlike the heavy weight leather boots.
I would advise you try them for size before you buy I went up 2 sizes to get a good fit.
There are no negatives I could say about them and that is rare. That's why have have bought a second pair only when the old ones have had there day.

My only gripe with this boots is that the laces are too thin and you can’t really fit thicker laces as the holes for them are very tight.
Hi,just wandering if you will be getting the coffee/tiger in stock.and also I was 41 in size with the Scarpa mescalito would these be a size 41 as well for me.
Thanks.
These boots are not waterproof.
They don't leak water in, up to the height of the ankle. But from there up the water it leaks into the inside.
They have excellent traction with the ground and good construction materials.
But they are not comfortable after a long hiking. The La Sportiva Ultra Raptor are much more comfortable.

I used these boot for the first time, for an 8 hour hiking on rocky ground with many screes. The grip, the protection and stabilisation of the foot were excellent.
The handicaps were that a) there are internal stitches at the heel which caused me blisters, maybe I should have worn thicker socks and b) the weather was hot and my feet sweated a lot so I believe they are not breathable enough.
As far as sizing is concerned, I usually wear EU 41 shoes but my size at these boots was EU 42.
