Product description

If you’re looking for a versatile and functional shoe, the Roclite G 345 GTX from Inov-8 is a great option. Equipped with GORE-TEX technology, the shoe is not only breathable but waterproof as well, so your feet will stay nice and dry. The higher collar gives you some extra stability in technical terrain, whilst the midsole delivers support, solid energy return and cushioning to keep you comfortable. The outsole provides excellent traction, regardless of the terrain. Thanks to the flexible laces, you can vary the fit, and the toe bumper will shield your toes from stubs. A durable all-rounder: the Roclite G 345 GTX walking boot.

Hi B, Use a damp cloth or a soft brush to remove dirt and from time to time apply some Nikwax Fabric & Leather Proof to help with water repellency.

Lightweight all purpose boot

Really comfortable and lightweight, but a bit small for my typical size, I would recommend a half a size up

Fit

What is the fit like with these boots? I have wide feet, will these be ok or are they a narrow fit? Also, I currently own a pair of Merrells which are comfortable but after about 5 miles, my Achilles become strained and painful, are these boots likely to be more accommodating?

Hi David, I'd recommend the Ferrox Pro mid GTX: https://www.alpinetrek.co.uk/lowa-ferrox-pro-gtx-mid-walking-boots/ They are very similar but have plenty of width so should suit you better.

Definitely not waterproof

Really comfortable shoes with bad Gore-Tex membrane. My third pair of Roclites from Inov-8.

But they should really start selling these without a membrane at all since it can't hold water out on a rainy day. Even morning dew in tall grass is a big problem for this pair of shoes.
Just don't get why they make such a great shoe with a bad Gore-Tex membrane and do not have the same shoe with just mesh upper sole.

I just returned from my daily run through the forest (it was raining) and I literally had to turn them upside down to let the water out.

Two stars ** only because they are really comfortable and have a great grip on rocky terrain.

Also on warm days (18°C +) membrane makes your feet really hot and after 30 minutes, your feet are also completely wet.

Buy these if you will use them in colder dry weather with a few drops of water here and there. Don't expect to have your feet dry after a shower storm or on a warm or hot day.

I think I will just buy La Sportiva Raptor next time since my friend today had completely dry feet after the same run.
