22.09.2025Comfortable but very easily damaged
First impressions were good - very soft, comfortable material and a good fit. However, I've only worn and washed it a handful of times and it has already torn at the seams under both arms. I have similar style and weight merino tops from other brands that have lasted much, much longer without tearing at the seams so I don't know what Heber Peak are doing wrong with their construction. To be fair, though, for use as a base layer that you're always going to wear under something else it probably doesn't matter too much.
- Disadvantages
- Easily damaged
- Weak seams

I'm 5'6" tall and weigh 154lbs I'm just wondering if a size S would be too tight or should I go for the M? Is it a very tight fit or true to size?
Hi Neil ,
It's difficult to say knowing only your height and weight. The fit is true to size and I would think it likely that you would be at the very upper end of the fit for size S. Might be an idea for you to order both S and M and return the one that does not fit for a refund.
My chest size is about 37". Yes ordering both is an idea, is it free returns also?
Your right at the top end of sizing for size S. perhaps ideal if you want a slim fit. Please see the following link to all the returns information that you need:

Hi Nikolay,
Long in the sleeves but otherwise true to size.
