Product description
The Women’s Waxenstein Bio from Hanwag sets all new standards when it comes to sustainable walking boots. The boots boast a beautiful leather upper constructed using leather from cows that lived on organic farms. The interior is fitted with incredibly soft, chrome-free leather lining that feels great against the foot.
The Straight-Fit last really lives up to its name, creating a glove-like fit that provides support in all the right places without any unpleasant chafing or pressure points. Additional padding at the heel and ball of the foot provides extra cushioning.
As for the outsole, the boot features a biodegradable outsole from Vibram for a smooth heel-to-toe transition and optimum grip. In other words, you’ll have the surefootedness you need and be able to walk fatigue-free, even in technical terrain - and you can do so knowing you’re helping protect the environment with these incredibly innovative boots!

This is what other customers say:
I have been walking in these boots since December 2024. So far walked >150 miles total in these (with greatest distance at 20 miles in one go) and they are the comfiest shoes I have ever had. The padded areas around the ankle make the boot so comfortable. They are waterproof, with great grip. My only small issue with them is that the hooks for the laces aren't terribly good at keeping the lace in place, so you do have to re-do your laces on a walk. Not a problem though. Worth every penny and will be a returning customer!
