Praise vs. Criticism
A well made shoe
These shoes are extremely comfortable. I have a wider than average foot and would normally take a 10.5UK but these size 11UK are perfect.
The heel of the shoe is a little soft compared to the rest of the shoe but moves with the foot very well - I only fear for its longevity. So far so very good!
- Advantages
- Lightweight
- Robust
- Good grip
- Comfortable
If the foot fits, it's a good boot
Aimed for a approach show that would take a re-sole, and was waterproof. It's both of those. However, the boot is very wide compared to similar sized Hanwag Tatra, and the heel 'cup' of the boot is very soft meaning there is no grip of the heel when lifting off. All this means the boot roles around like a ship in a storm on anything but flat ground, rendering it useless for a climbing approach shoe. A real shame, as the quality is good.
