Crux - X2 Storm - 2-person tent

The lightest double-wall tent that Crux offers, the X2 Storm Two-Person Four-Season Tent is a lightweight but bombproof shelter that's designed to handle alpine expeditions and winter camping without breaking a sweat (or a pole). The dome-style design provides exceptional durability under wind and snow loading, while the asymmetrical shape'narrower at the rear, wider in the front'adds more vestibule space and increases the X2's strength.

A structure is only as good as the materials it's made of, so Crux made the X2 out of the best. The fly and body are made of ripstop nylon and coated with waterproof silicone and PU, respectively, while the floor is made of tough nylon taffeta to keep rocks, ice, and sticks from poking through. Four DAC Featherlite aluminum poles clip into grommets to form a triangular geodesic-style pattern, and the adjustable Dyneema webbing lets you tighten up the corners to achieve serious stability under wind loading. When you're stranded inside while the storm rages, the details can start to make a big difference. While the X2 isn't decked out with bells and whistles, it does have multiple internal pockets to keep your headlamp, book, and deck of cards safe. It also has a small rear vestibule that's only accessible from the inside, for added weatherproof storage space.
