Product description

Perfect for trekking, springtime snowfields at lower altitudes and icy forest paths - the 10-point Nevis Flex crampon from Climbing Technology.

The wide, ribbed front points provide excellent lift on hard snow, while the four rear points deliver all the stability you need whilst walking downhill. The rapid size adjustment bar is made of steel, with a replacement included in the delivery. Thanks to the tough plastic heel cradle and toe strap, the crampon should fit any stiffened winter boot.

Plus, the heel piece with its rear flaps will ensure that the Climbing Technology Nevis Flex 10-point crampon is positioned perfectly on your boots. Plus, the crampon comes with fitted anti-balling plates, and includes a transport bag.

Question from Alistair
08.02.2024
Width of the heel cup

Is there somewhere I can see the exact dimensions to see how wide a boot these could accommodate?

I am considering for snowboard boots but can’t find the specific measurements anywhere. Thank you

Hi Alistair,

These are designed for mountaineering boots and will not be wide enough for a snowboard boot either at the heel bail or toe bail.

The following crampon will however suit your needs:

Hi Adrian, Im also in need of a crampon for size 12 snowboard boots and was thinking about G10 wide....but not sure if long enough for size 12 boot? Have seen some threads online suggesting Petzl Vasak instead...is this as wide as the G10 wide but longer?
If the G10 wide isnt long enough can I buy an extension bar? Neil

Hi Neil, The G-10 Wide should accommodate your snowbaord boots but you'll need to also purchase the longer extension bar:

https://www.alpinetrek.co.uk/grivel-valter-long-bar-2x/

The Vasak could also work but again you'll need the longer extension bar. We're out of stock of that at the moment.

Thanks Adrian, do the Grivel G1 crampons also come with a bag? I’m deciding between the 2 sets.

Hi David, A crampon bag is not supplied with the Grivel G1 but can be purchased seperately:
