Super Light

Initially saw this carabiner when I bought the Camp extending/sling quick draw and this has not become my 'standard' for wire gate carabiners. They are almost impossibly light and have so far been robust enough for mid-weight hauling and have taken a couple of falls too. The colour range and price means I was able to treat myself to get a few to help organise my rack too.

good small krab

nice small krab, I use the various colours for racking cams. Some may find them too small but my partner and I have relatively small hands so they work well for us

Great looking device

I have this for ski touring, so far not used it on the hill, but the size and weight look to be ideal for what I need it for.

Racking

Lightweight snap carbines, perfect for cam racking, full color range for any cam on market. I was surprised that there is even different colors for black and grey.

rackem and stackem

Got these with the camp photon biners as my alpine draws.
I made a mistake in getting the photon biners, because when you try to shorted then 60cm and 120cm slings, the photon biner struggles to go through the camp 22 biner.
get these biners as a pair rather than a split with the photon biners for alpine use; shave a little more weight off aswell.
super feel and work great.

Good lightweight biner

Searching for a light biner for alpine climbing this has an very good handling for its weight. Also best gate opening for lightweight biners. Similar products as good are CT Fly weight evo which is little stronger and also more expensive.

Quick and secure: snapgate carabiners

Snapgate Carabiners

As their name suggests, snapgate carabiners don’t have a safety lock, but rather a snap gate with a spring. When you need to clip something in quickly, all you need to do is push against the gate to open it. Snapgate carabiners are great to use in situations that don’t require securing. You should definitely have one, or ideally a good range, of snapgate carabiners as part of your climbing gear!

What type of snapgate carabiners are there and what should they be able to do?

Snapgate carabiners are available in different sizes, so the choice will depend on the intended use and your personal preference. However, some features are super important: the carabiner should be able to clip in quickly and securely, it should fit nicely in your hand and you should be able to operate it with just one hand. Snapgate carabiners should also be durable and have a high tensile strength. High-quality snapgate carabiners are an essential part of your climbing equipment!
