Hello Taliesin,

yes, you can certainly put a hydration bladder or something similar in there if you wish. There is no provision directly next to the item.

Is it waterproof?

The fabric is described as highly water resistant - does this mean it is not waterproof?

Hi Sam - It's not dunking-in-the-river proof, but any spray or rain should be kept out :-)
