I have been using this for cycling and running. I have a 59 cm circumference head, I shave my head and I find it too tight. Likewise, I like a loose fit, I am very aware of the fact that there is something tight around my head while running and cycling.
Update; I have been using this hat rather than going through the hassle of returning it. Despite the tightness and the annoying marks it left around my bald head, it has now stretched to fit my head and I do not notice that it is there any more. It is comfortable to wear under a helmet.
