I've used this for a bit but I seem to prefer my open loop prusik cords, I've been in situations where the sewn part of the loop got in the way, and have not had that issue with a knot in an open loop yet. The loop grabs consistently when used, and so far holds up well, so if sewn loops work well for you, I think this can be a valid option.
