This is what other customers say:
The wild country Revo is brilliant for experienced climbers but if you are looking for an easy and safe device to use for a beginner- I would not recommend this product. It's auto-stopping activation is unreliable, slow and the small catches can sometimes activate without warning when belaying. It is also quite heavy. For beginner climbers- I would recommend a simpler device such as the Petzl grigri or rig descender for you can relay on the auto lock everytime and you can take breaks using the assisted locking function. The revo is not bad- but I think that it is for more advanced climbers than myself. It has positives too of course! Such as the easy controlling of the rope and the extra safety features- so I totally think that for more advanced climbers, this device would be a dream! But think before buying this and test your climbing level, do you like belaying/rappelling with belay devices such as the ATC or are you more of an assisted braking kind of climber. Overall, brilliant device-but there could be improvements made for the future!

Just like an ATC, but locks up like a seatbelt if the dead rope is dropped. Great for teaching novices and gives me an added sense of safety when being belayed by them, especially on lead.
Nice to belay with—pays slack really smoothly and you can lift the wing to lock it out if your partner is taking a rest (although it takes practice to do this smoothly).
You can supposedly rap on a single strand with it, but I'd definitely want an autoblock since you'd likely go FAST.
Downsides: heavy, doesn't work so well with fat gym ropes.
