Vaude - Aqua Back Light - Pannier tested

I bought a pair of these panniers to save 1KG in weight compared to the Ortlieb classics. I like the lacing mechanism that means the panniers are trim even when partially filled. there is nothing worse than a floppy pannier that sways (Karimore e.g.). They are not as durable as the Ortlieb, but for someone who does one or two trips a year they are a great weight saver. The colours stand out on the road. the only issue I had is with the securing clip that fixes the inner side of the pannier to the cycle frame, to prevent it from swaying. If this clip is positioned on one of the corners of the mounting track, it can twist out. This happened to me twice in Sweden. Luckily I did not lose the clip and was able to reattach it and move it to a different position on the track.
