Ordered as comfort fit shoe for warmups and slabs

My street size is EU 43-44 depending on the shoe manufacturer (For the most part 43). I ordered these in 43.5 for a comfortable fit. I wear solutions in 42 though (Those are super tight and my toes are very cramped up)So having said that even though my toes don't cramp up on these scarpas, they touch the end of the toe box and are quite fit, the heel doesn't feel snug enough, it feels like if I venture into heel hook territory it might roll. So if I were to order these again, I'd stick to my street shoe size for a better comfort fit without much of a sacrifice. And for a performance fit I'd probably downsize 1 full size as I do with Sportivas.

Sizing and fit aside, I have to say that the shoes are quite stylish and look pretty cool, who cares about that, right? The one band closure system is convenient if you want to take em off and on, but yeah for a comfort fit this is not much as a habit as it is with performance fit shoes, it's cool that it's very quick to put em on though.

The sole is quite soft which is a good thing, for slabs, but for edging on small holds I felt some pain added by the sensitivity which is not a problem with my solutions and other stiffer more downturned shoes.

So yeah I wouldn't say that these are an all-round shoe, I'd recommend to get em for slabs and warmups as I did.

I wouldn't recommend this to a beginner as the only shoe, I'd go for something a bit stiffer that offers more support.
