Suitable for Scottish Winter?

Will these boots be an overkill for Scottish gullies and ridges? Or will the Scarpa Chamoz do the job.

Hello Mathew,

for your purpose, I would go with the Charmoz, the Mont Blanc would indeed be a bit of an overkill in my opinion. In combination with warm merino socks, the Charmoz should be sufficient.

Hi Andrew, I assume you are wondering if the boots are suitable for regular hill walking. It's a boot that will be a bit overkill for that. Bear in mind that it has been designed for mountaineering and for altitudes of up to around 5,000m and is , of course, crampon compatible , so for regular use it will be rather stiff and much too warm for the UK in Summer.

Class Boot 2nd pair, break them in though

Very robust bot for multi day trips , nice and stiff but will require lots of break in to get them right
