Been using these for about 6 months for indoor bouldering and I think they are a solid shoe, far beyond a beginner shoe. I climb up to V8/9 and use these for pretty much everything I only break out my better("expensive") shoes for particular climbs, such as really tiny feet or toe hooks as there isn't that much toe rubber on these, although you can still "bat hang" in these, it's just a bit more challenging. I climb 3-4 times a week and there is no sign of any holes, there's internally a hemp lining that in one shoe has come loose but it's no issue.
I only went half a size down and they fit great, I'm a fan of the heel hook and don't have any gaps around the heel, as I have found in other shoes.
I'm writing this review as I buy a second pair while they are still available and relatively cheap.
