Not as thick or warm as some Gillets but sometimes a gillet where it just warms the corn is all you need, this will add a little warm in the wind at next to no weight.

I bought a medium one of these three years ago. It was a great product so I repurchased a medium. I haven't increased in size but the vest sure has decreased in size. If you normally wear medium I would consider large.
