I like this new version it's a little more sleek and modern than the old shiny canvas style waterproof Patagonia black hole I have also which they used to make. I would say durability wise they're about the same and waterproofing feels the same to me. The usual high quality you expect from Patagonia though, definitely get what you pay for. This review is after owning the bag after a year and it still looks great, basically the same as when I first bought it. Ive tried other bags and these are just the best by far, my last black hole bag got 8 years of everyday use before the age really started to show.

We use it for the beach, travel, going to town, going wherever. Just enough pockets and holds everything we need for a day trip anywhere.
