I have typically had great experiences with Merrell shoes, but unfortunately, these shoes are a lemon. They are extremely slippery on anything wet, which makes them unsuitable for use as a walking shoe in the autumn and winter. The sole shape is weird, particularly under the heel, which makes the shoe feel unstable. It is also the only shoe that caused me foot cramps after 30 minutes of walking. Replacing the original insoles helped a bit, but they are still uncomfortable on longer walks.
