Reviews overview
Disadvantages
This is what customers from around the world say:
First time trying Mammut, will be buying boots from them in the future. The fit is similar to salomon - snug without pressure points. The smaller shape allows for great stability, allows me to sprint on uneven terrian with confidence, never had that experience with a pair of boots! I would not suggest sizing up. I bought according to size and I can wear them with thick winter socks.
The leather comes in a matte finish, I treated it with saphir creme, although you could use a non-oxidising oil such as jojoba. This created a shiny finish and deepned the color. It also preserves and waterproofs the leather without needing to use silicone sprays all the time. Stronger leather preservation can be acheived with a wax such as greenland wax warmed over a flame and rubbed into the shoe.
