This is what customers from around the world say:
Hi Teresa, it sounds like you're having an issue with the durability of your shoes. It could well be the case that with the mileage/impact you're doing, that you'd be better served with a pair of lightweight leather boots which will be much more durable. Something like the Lowa Lady Light LL is a full leather boot which only weighs around 300g more than the Spire but offers a simpler, more robust construction that can be kept waterproof by using a product such as Nikwax Nubuck & Suede Proof: https://www.nikwax.com/en-gb/products/nubuck-and-suede-proof/
In my opinion this could offer a much more robust long term solution for you :-)
