I use a Patagonia Calcite 2.5L hard shell made of GoreTex Paclite, but I found that medium-heavy with unnecessary features - that weighs 375g in XS size and does not pack very small. This one - Haglöfs LIM 2.5L - uses the same GoreTex Paclite, however it weighs only 270g in size S - that is a serious difference for effectively the same performance - and this one packs half of the size compared to the Patagonia... Of course it does not have many of the drawstrings but they replaced with elastic parts, works pretty well. The hood is not helmet compatible here and does not have a visor - so you need a baseball cap or water will flow on your face - sounds bad but not really an issue, in bad weather and wind your face will be wet anyway... Pit vents has been merged with the front pockets - if you open the long vertical front pockets that serves as a vent - not sure how effective is that in rain - you can use the pit vents in light rain on the Patagonia. These are all fine and worth the weigh savings. The only real issue is the material, it is a very noisy one, when you move it sounds like when you squeeze a noisy plastic bag - while the Patagonia is almost silent, definitely silent related to this one. So if you need a rain jacket for occasional use, this is the one. If you need to wear it all day in Scandinavian weather... then it is better to carry some plus weight and you shall go for the Patagonia, what is my tried and trusted companion since a while.
