With genuine ash wood shaft and 19th century shape, the Grivel 200 anniversary ice axe gives off the vibes of a vintage car.

Based in Courmayeur at the foot of Montblanc, the climbing experts at Grivel now have 200 years of experience under their belts and continue to produce innovative equipment for mountaineers. The Ice Axe 200 reflects the entire historical development of the ice axe, from the worker's axe to the mountaineer's axe all the way to the ice axe of today.

The Ice Axe 200 is by no means just a decorative item, even though it would look great on a wall! Its hot-forged, crescent-shaped, stainless steel pick has sharp teeth and is well suited for cutting steps. The shaft is made of aged ash wood, which gives it some nice grip and natural shock absorption. When used for walking, it has a balanced feel in the hand, and its pointy spike at the shaft end provides grip and stability.

With its strong, high-quality material, the Ice Axe 200 from Grivel is a stylish, vintage option for easy mountaineering at high altitudes.
