I bought these crampons to fit on Scarpa boots designed to use the New-Matic Evo binding system. This binding system provides a very secure fit to the boots & I am very impressed with them. The web binding straps are also easy to fasten & adjust to get a tight fit. I use the crampons for hill walking in the Scottish Highlands & for this purpose they are ideal.

I decided to bite the bullet and go for the Grivel G10 crampon. This was slightly more expensive that a similar entry level model. They were definitely worth it and i would recommend them to anyone thinking of venturing into the winter walking season.

Hi Lee,
The G-10 is a great winter walking crampon and will fit your boots well in either binding . The New-Matic EVO binding however , will be the best fit.
Note: if your boots are larger than a size EU 46 you will need a longer extension bar.
