I need to get B2 mountaineering boots for my son to use crampons

Would these be B2 category winter mountaineering boots he can attach crampons too?

These boots are crampon compatible and can be used with strap-on binding or semi automatic binding crampons.

Are these boots suitable for summer alpine snow walking? Mont Blanc?

Hi Aten , For Summer Alpine these wil be fine especially , if you're fairly fast moving. For Mont Blanc summit , they may lack the necessary insulation if you're someone who feels the cold.

Hi Brian , These boots are only suitable for use with either a strap-on or semi-automatic binding.

Crampon compatibility

If it has limited crampon compatibility, does it take the Grivel classic? If not, what are examples of crampons that it will take?

Hi David, These will be suitable for crampons with a strap on binding or even better with a semi automatic binding. So , from Grivel , the New Classic or New Matic bindings will be fine. The New Matic binding would be my choice.

Hi Ti,

The boots are limited crampon compatible which means you have to look for some with a clip at the back and basket at the front.
