It’s designed using the autotube principle, where the rope is quickly blocked in the event of a fall by the lead climber - provided the brake hand is in the right position!

With the Jul², this effective braking pressure is optimally tuned to absorb a fall reliably, yet softly. At the same time, the breaking provides extra safety, especially in scary situations. The handling is optimised by the nose at the front, which, when supported by the thumb of your brake hand, enables the autotuber to be 'held open'. This makes paying out slack smooth and easy.
