I’ve had a few people compliment on the suppleness of this rope, and I must say I find it nice to handle vs other stiffer ropes.

Presumably this rope is selling at a discounted price because it is old rope. The description advises that the rope has a service life of 14 years - so how much safe use can I expect to get from this rope?

You'll be pleased to know that we're not selling old rope. We're one of the largest stockists of Edelrid products and often we get very good discounts which we can pass on to the customer.
We can't say the exact production date of the rope as we do not know exactly which rope you would receive if ordered. What we can say is the when we last received stock which was early last month. This means that production will have been either late 2022 or early 2023.
