I feel the cold, looking for a mid layer that keeps me warm during hiking in a group where I don’t set the pace.
I have a Rab capacitator over a base layer then a mountain equipment waterproof shell but some days it isn’t warm enough

Hi Jen,
This is a slim fitting hoodie but you will easily be able to use this as a mid layer with a base layer underneath. This weighs more of less the same as your Rab Capacitator and I would think it not to be much of an advantage for you.
For something warmer I would definitely consider a light weght synthetic or down filled jacket. They'll also have the benefit of being windproof and makes for a great stand alone layer if it's a little milder during the winter. For example:

Do you have a recommendation? I thought the Dynafit would be warmer with it being thermal Polartec
