Hi, i would like to purchase a didriksons mens parka or coat. One that is suitable for longer walks and generating a bit of heat but which is waterproof and windproof . I have tried the Marco parka but it is too heavy. Do you have a comparison of weight or fulling material. Thanks.

I had not heard of this brand before but took a chance and absolutely love it. I bought it for next year as got it at 60% off so can't vouch for how it is in the cold and wet but it looks like it's great quality and robust. It looks far more expensive that what I paid. I'm usually an XL but got a L and glad I did as it fits bigger. Great coat overall.

It fits well, it's warm, feels robust and made of decent material. So far I tested it in light rain and nothing went through. Went out for a walk at -15 C wearing a simple base layer under it - felt comfortably warm. It's a nice jacket.
The reason why I wouldn't give it 5 stars is the zipper which works fine but is also very basic quality and feels like I have to be careful with it for it not to become a problem.
Also a few seams had threads hanging from them when I received the jacked. I mean it's not a big issue, I cut them off and off I go. But it's that sort of unfinished details (+ the zipper) that give the impression of a slightly lower quality than you have payed for.
