The days of fifi hooks and aiders with aluminium steps are long gone, but the era of free climbing still involves quite a bit of technical climbing. Instead of a fifi hook and an aluminium ladder, an aider like the Climbing Technology Foot Steps 4 Big Steps is an excellent choice for technical climbing. This is a lightweight aider with four large steps. These are contoured and reinforced so that you can insert your foot easily. The two uppermost steps are equipped with two smaller steps, allowing you to get a couple of extra centimetres higher.
The ladder Foot Steps 4 Big Steps from Climbing Technology is very packable and light. The top has a loop for attachments and a lower point for connecting a second foot loop.
