Not my favourite bag as a smaller climber

I have a lot of backpacks in a wide range of sizes and types. I use for multi-pitch climbing and mountaineering days. I really like Blue Ice and have 7 or 8 of their bags. This isn't my favourite and I'm a bit disappointed with it. I'm 5'5.5" (166.5cm) male with slim / small build. It's a bit too long for me especially when loaded and I find that it sits on my glutes uncomfortably. It does cinch down well for the climb and expand well for the walk-in/out. The other thing I find awkward is the pocket in the lid. It's an unusual lid anyway which is fine in principle (trying to be a bag-without-a-lid and a bag-with-a-lid at the same time) but it doesn't really work for me as the pocket is very awkward to access - especially when the bag is cinched or when there is a rope being held over the top. I've found the Deuter Guide 32+8 SL to be my preferred bag over this one.
