This is what other customers say:
This is the first belay device I've bought and I'm really pleased with it. It feels pretty solid and I've found it really smooth with no sticking, so my belaying confidence has really improved. Great price too!

Nice and simple ATC device. I have used it for both sport and lead climbing.

Solid, versatile, easy use, reliable, and forgiving for new climbers thanks to the "teeth" in the brake channels.
This is the ATC device to learn to belay with.

The XP has both high friction and normal mode (turn upside down) as well as being able to accept two ropes. Its also very light and not bulky at all. I would definitely recommend. The price and finish is also very good.
