If you like to go off-piste, then the Women's Gore 3L Softshell Jacket from Backcountry is the right choice. Boasting a high level of breathability and a low weight, this comfortable jacket is an excellent option for demanding ski tours.

Plus, it’s got a Windstopper membrane to prevent your temperature dropping when you’re zooming downhill. The three-layer material offers reliable weather protection, even though the Infinium membrane is not entirely waterproof. However, all seams are sealed to prevent melting snow from getting into the jacket, and there’s a DWR coating on the shell to help fend of snow, rain and dirt. If it gets too warm for your liking on those steep climbs, you can use the pit zips for additional ventilation. As for storage, there are zipped pockets on the front you can use for quick access to smaller items.
