Perfect for touring in the mountains: The Kabru Hooded Jacket II by Vaude. With its excellent warmth-to-weight-ratio and small pack size, it is the ideal addition to any set of gear and can always be taken along for the ride! The down jacket can be used as a solid insulation layer in a layering system, but also does really well when worn solo.
With its smooth upper material, it effortlessly slides underneath a hardshell or softshell jacket and ensures comfortable warmth. The insulation filling consists of high quality European goose down with a fill power of 650 cuin. Vaude has inserted those into quilted chambers, which keeps them in position and ensures that the entire upper body and head are well protected. Other clever and practical features include the elasticated cuffs and hood and the drawstring hem which be adjusted from the two hand-warmer pockets. This means that the air that has been heated by the body will remain on the inside, while the cold will remain on the outside!
The Vaude Kabru Hooded Jacket II offers a good insulation with low weight and small packed dimensions and is therefore also a good reserve for emergencies!
