Scarpa, excellent boots again

I always buy Scarpa boots, I know they fit my foot well and are robust and hard wearing but mainly comfortable.
These boots are another great pair of boots, comfortable from the first time on.

Great boots.

Out of the box comfort. Great grip in mixed terrain, snow, wet and dry rock, wet vegetation. Good with B1 crampons. Quite flexible for a B1 but probably due to being a size 48. I bought these for Scottish Munros in winter so stiffness is for me just right. I was worried about reversed leather 'wetting out' but no problems with some long wet approaches followed by snow and ice. They fit my long narrow feet very well with just right room at front for toes. Great ankle support too for my skinny ankles!

Good all rounder

I can't count the number of pairs of Scarpa boots that I've owned, but these live up to the same expectations of quality.

I got the boots as a general hillwalking boot for use in Ireland. I already have a pair of Scarpa Rebel Lites, but these are more suited to trekking and via-ferrata abroad rather than the boggy and wet Irish hills.

The main thing to say about the R-Evo is that it performs well, with no excitement or surprises. They were comfortable straight out the box and needed no breaking in.

I would have preferred something with a bit less stitching, but only time will tell if this really is a durability issue.
