After wearing these red chili climbing shoes for an hour or so one of my toes only on one side started to feel very uncomfortable, perhaps I need to wear them in a bit more (right foot second from the end little toe). I don't know if any one else has had this problem?
Otherwise these are a pair of great shoes, delivery was fast and the quality is very good.
Are these good shoes for her
Hi Rachel, for competitions I'd recommend the Ocun Rival - this is a specific kids competition shoe and should offer her the best chance to perform well :-) I'd recommend trying the UK 2, 2.5 and 3 to see which fits best - the 2 or 2.5 will very likely be a better fit, but if she's right on the cusp between sizes then it would probably be worthwhile getting half a size up and simply wearing socks in the shoes so her feet have room to grow. Hope this helps!

Hi Darren,
thank you for your review.
I am not sure how long you climb so please apologise if you already know the following:
Climbing shoes are generally very tight as you need to be able to put a lot of pressure through your toes. They are not meant to be worn over a long period of time but you take them of after every route / every two-three boulders. In general climbing shoes "break in" over time a bit making them softer. If made out of leather (these ones are not!) they will even stretch a bit, adjusting to your foot.
I hope I could help you.
Kind regards
Cora
