Product description

An all-rounder for heavy-duty use - there's a reason the Sarken by Petzl has such a large following! The Sarken by Petzl is specifically designed for expedition mountaineering, where you never know what to expect. And when you don't know what to expect, these crampons come into their own with their dynamic versatility. Steep ice, mixed terrain and firn slopes are no match for the Sarken.
The T-shaped front points are a great compromise between vertical and horizontal points. This allows them to pierce ice, but at the same time provide grip in snow and firn. The T-shaped front points can even hold their own on brittle ice.
The Leverlock Universel binding is suitable for all boots with pronounced welts on the heels. Thanks to the Fil and Flex components that come with the crampons, the front binding is conveniently interchangeable. The Fil variant comes with a metal bracket that fits boots with a toe welt. The Flex System consists of a basket for mountaineering boots without a toe welt.
Another smart detail: the front parts of the Sarken can be removed and replaced with the front parts of the Petzl Irvis and Vasak (2016 models onwards). The front parts are also available separately, which means that for relatively little money you can get yourself crampon combinations for every application and every terrain. Enjoy the climb - with the Petzl Sarken!
