The Patagonia Men‘s Kniferidge Pants keep you powering up long and contoured skintracks, endless kick-turns, and steep bootpacks. Their Polartec Power Shield Pro stretch softshell material offers an absurd amount of breathability without compromising the winter weather protection you need when you‘re venturing the into alpine wilderness. With a design that thrives above treeline, the Polartec Power Shield Pro three-layer shell construction will repel all but the wettest storms, which you‘ll rarely encounter in the upper elevations, while the fully taped seams and water-tight zippers ensure that no moisture creeps through these vulnerable points when the ascent involves a waist-deep, wallow-fest up steep and deep couloirs.
The Kniferidges are equipped with an articulated pattern, which remains comfortable on the climb up. The regular fit is roomy enough to fit over layers, without needless weight or bulk added. To keep the weight down, the pants don‘t have internal boot gaiters, but they are fitted with a drawcord cinch that can be easily secured around ski or mountaineering boots. The pants come with four-point suspenders attached, but those can be removed in favor of a belt thanks to the integrated belt loops. A drop-seat configuration means you won‘t have to strip down to your birthday suit just to answer nature‘s call in the high and windy alpine.
