The Cross Rider 18 Avabag Kit by Ortovox is a lightweight and compact avalanche backpack with airbag system. Thanks to its reduced size, it is ideally suited for a day in the ski resort with planned detours into uncertain terrain.

The heart of the avalanche airbag is its removable Avabag airbag system. Thanks to innovative processing technology with no seams or additional sealing, and the minimalist venturi unit, this system is given an extremely low weight. The ergonomically shaped release handle can be adjusted to two length positions. It is front-facing and is easy to store in the zip of the shoulder straps when in the lift. The deployment of the airbag can be practised as often as desired without the cartridge inserted. The Avabag system can then be re-armed by means of a reactivation tool.
