The Norröna Tamok Dri2 Pants is simply put, another kind of ski pants!
As with many trekking pants, these ski pants are made with a cotton blend as the outer material. This fabric is heavier and incredibly robust. The snow-repellent effect can be revamped with a DWR treatment for cotton fabric or a wax coating. The pants will develop a patina over time, so it will have a used look, similar to jeans.
Underneath that is a waterproof membrane that is protected from the inside by a warming lining made of microfleece. Catching on ice and frequent contact with snow dont affect the integrity and thickness of the material! The wearer stays dry, the pants too!
The style of these pants is reminiscent of military clothing and the cut is somewhat slimmer, but wide enough to offer space for long underpants underneath and ensure they dont restrict you in any way when hitting the slopes (the fabric is not elastic).
These pants have a gaiter integrated into the legs and you can attach an optionally included powder skirt to the top waistband using the Snap Seal System, so no cold bridges can form. These pants are also adjustable at the waistband or can be fitted with a belt.
There are long ventilation zips on the inside of the thighs between the four front pockets, which are fitted with mesh inside, so you will never get snow directly in contact with your leg, as it will get caught there in the mesh.
The Norröna Tamok Dri2 Pants are ski pants that were made for freeride parks as well as back country skiing. They are also however a great choice for snowshoeing, touring and mountaineering!
