Product description
When you're eight miles away from your tent, 100 miles away from the nearest building, and 300 miles away from the nearest place with electricity, ducking back inside to warm up and dry off isn't an option. Your only choice is to stay dry and warm in the first place, and there aren't many jackets that can accomplish that task better than the Diamir Men's Jacket from Mountain Equipment. Made to conquer the burliest lines, longest ascents, and toughest storms, the Diamir is made of rugged 80D nylon and decked out with a three-layer Gore-Tex waterproof and breathable membrane, fully taped seams, and a helmet-compatible high-collared Super Alpine hood to keep the weather off when you're on a long skinner, booting up a couloir, or straightlining out a gun-barrel chute.

Life's not all heinous approaches and technical riding, though. Sometimes it's deep pow and others it's spring corn, and the Diamir is well equipped for both. It's two-way underarm zips help you cool down when you're hiking for perfect April turns, and the zip-off powder skirt keeps the cold smoke out of your skivvies when you're hunting down perfect Niseko pow. The Diamir's cut with Mountain Equipment's Alpine fit, which is relaxed enough for freeriding but slim enough to easily wear under a harness, and it comes with a sleeve pocket for your ski pass and two large harness-compatible hand pockets that are big enough to hold your skins when you're knocking out yo-yo laps in your favorite bowl.
