Product description

Those frigid walks into town and annoyingly cold drives to work aren't a problem for you anymore thanks to the Marmot Women's Montreal Down Coat. The 700-fill down insulation works its heat magic while making sure the jacket feels light as a feather on your torso, and Marmot's proprietary Down Defender treatment resists water so the down won't lose it's warmth due to just a few snow flurries. The polyester shell has a DWR coating that also resists water. A plush lining slides over your work attire like a glove, and it feels so soft against your skin that you'll wish you could work in this coat all day.The Montreal's insulated hood keeps your head nice and toasty so you don't have to squish your hair down with a beanie, and you can remove both the hood and its fur ruff when you don't need them. Marmot lined the internal cuffs with micro fleece, and the front pockets also have micro fleece for extra hand coziness. The internal zippered pocket stores small items like lip balm while the drop pocket holds all your bigger items like your gloves, beanie, or phone.

So warm!

This is the second Marmot coat I've had and it's as good as the last one! So warm and comfortable. It's great in the snow but not so good in the rain - but, to be fair, it's not designed for heavy rain! Great coat.

HI Marilyn, No, the jacket has a waterrepellent outer material, but the jacket isn't 100% waterproof. Best regards!

Hi Saima,
it is by no means an expedition coat. It all depends on what you do, what you're wearing underneath, etc.
Overall I would say though that this coat is not suitable for extreme temperatures.
Kind regards.
