Poor Design

Initial impressions:
Just bought these online and I found them a great fit (for me) in large and I am impressed with the cut. The hip vent starts high on the leg which is perfect. Unfortunately, it runs too low on the leg as well. These are made for all day wear not as a rain over-trousers so they really don't need full length zips. The full length zips add a lot of stiffness in the material around the knee area, which is completely unnecessary. Also a problem is the extra width on the lower leg; good if you are wearing ski boots but again not necessary for a pants designed for general trekking in the mountains; especially as I would be wearing gaiters anyway. But the biggest design flaw is the zipped fly... at a length of only 4 inches when open it is completely unusable. I have never seen another pair of trousers with something similar. You would have to open the front of the trousers completely to have a call of nature! I haven't used them outside yet so I will probably be returning them...
Overall- poor design
