Product description

Perfect for Alpine usage: the Smart Alpine 8.7 - 10.5 by Mammut! The belay device has two openings which makes it very practical since it can be used with small single ropes but also with twin and half ropes - thus it can also be used for alpine touring on the rock and ice.
The Smart Alpine has the same properties as the classic Smart, when it comes to lead climbing and top-rope climbing - dynamic braking in the event of a fall and blocking without having to use much physical efforts. Please note, however, that the blocking function DEPENDS ON THE POSITION OF THE BREAKING HAND! Furthermore, it can be used as a back-up rope in multipitch routes and can be used perfectly for abseiling.
The Smart Alpine can be used by experts and beginners alike - unexperienced climbers, however, should in any case get information on the proper usage of the rope or even pay a visit to the local DAV, where the different forms of usage can be explained!

The Smart Alpine 8.7 - 10.5 is also available in diameters 7.5 - 9.5 mm!
